- 16 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup Holiday Jam or
Directions
- Make cookie dough according to box instructions. Roll dough out to ⅛-inch thickness.
- Cut cookies into desired shapes. You'll want half the cookies to be one full shape (ex: star) and the other half to be that shape with a smaller cutout in the middle (ex: star with smaller star cut out of the middle).
- Bake according to box instructions. Allow to cool on rack.
- Spread jam on the full shape cookies. If the jam is too thick, it can be heated on the stove top or in a microwave until smooth.
- Gently place the cutout cookies on top of the cookie with jam on it. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.
